INFORMATION

Not the sexiest name on the planet, however, rogaines are the best and most fun events ever! It’s basic navigation, where you set off (by yourself or in a team of up to 4 people) with a map and your running shoes, and try and find as many markers as possible in a set 2-hour time limit. There’s no set course, so there’s some strategy, planning and massive teamwork involved. Get back within the designated timeframe, or you start getting penalties for every minute your late back.

Course Information

The nature of these events means there is no set course, it’s one of the coolest things about the rogaine-style event. The ‘course’ is essentially a bunch of markers that you (go solo if you want) and your team (you stick together throughout the whole event) go and find, in any order you like. Based at the very amazing Spa Park, everyonestarts in the same spot at the same time, and then on the start hooter you take off likea scalded cat, in any direction you like. The markers are worth different points values (easy to get to markers are worth less, harder ones are worth more), so it becomes a strategic mission to get as many markers (and therefore points) as possible within a set timeframe, which happens to be 2 hours. Get yourselves back to the start/finish line within the 2-hour limit, or you’ll start to get penalized. Your score is the total of all marker/points added up – easy
