Step into a night of colour, adventure, and non-stop energy at the Trail Colour Run!

This isn’t your average run—it’s a vibrant festival experience where you’ll race through the trails, get covered in vibrant coloured powder paint*, and celebrate with an epic festival party.

  • Untimed & for all abilities – run, walk, or dance your way through

  • 2.5km loop – do one or two laps

  • A festival atmosphere – stay for the party after crossing the finish line!

  • Wear white - leave a walking masterpiece!

Plus, every particpant gets a finishing medal and a free drink at the finish line!

Missed online registration? No worries! You can still sign up in person at the festival. Simply head to the registration area at least 45 minutes before your event's start time to secure your spot.

  • The Trail Colour Run is the opening event of the Taupo Trail Festival. Be sure to stay on for the festival vibes with food trucks and live music!

  • This is the hub for all the action during the Taupo Trail Festival weekend! All trail events will start right here, and you’ll also find the festival vibes in full swing! Whether you're on the trails or enjoying the lively atmosphere, there’s something for everyone to enjoy, making it the perfect spot for participants and supporters!

  • The coloured paint powder is made from non toxic cornstarch, water soluble dye for easy clean up.
